Food wastage is one of the biggest problems in this time. Many people are hungry for lack of food.
We can provide food to hungry people by preventing waste. So we should prevent waste.

Food is the most important thing in our life. Food is one of the reasons why people work from morning to evening. At one time people did not think of food in excess of demand. The type of food, the taste, the cooking process were different in different regions. Communication with civilization is improved in the world. People's have become acquainted with different cultures and foods.
 Various restaurants, hotels and motels have been set up with local and foreign food. At the same time, food waste has increased. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United States (FAO) has stated that one-third of the world's food is wasted.

How is wastage




Food is wasted in many ways. Food is wasted due to natural disasters, inadequate storage and transportation. Also food is wasted due to sellers and consumers. People waste food by buying extra food. Crops are ruined due to not taking proper care. Crops are ruined due to heavy rains and droughts. Crops are damaged due to insects and various diseases. Food is wasted from careless food production activities. The demolition process continues to restaurants and homes.





People stockpile food unnecessarily for various reasons. Food is wasted due to improper stocking process. Vegetables and raw fruits are spoiled due to the weather. Thus every day we waste a lot of food.




Food is wasted in both production and consumer stages. The FAO says industrialized countries waste twice as much food as other countries. In rich countries of Europe and America, a lot of food is wasted. Which is about 10 times more than in Asia.


Effects of food wastage :



Researchers estimate that about 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted each year.  Rashef Max La Manna in New York says food wastage is the biggest challenge right now. He has written a book called More Plants, Less Waste. He says people can change this situation if they want to.
We think estimates that about one-third of all food is discarded each year. The environment is being polluted due to not throwing food in the right place. Garbage produces harmful greenhouse gases, methane and carbon dioxide. About 12 million people in South Africa suffer from malnutrition. But every year we are wasting about 10 million tons of food.
